Climate crisis and emergence - requirement(s) for task forces 1
For the first time in human history, we are facing two revolutionary challenges simultaneously: the climate crisis and human development emerging into another era.
Both, crisis and emergence present themselves to us not only with major opportunities and challenges for change, but also as major sorters.
Emergence sorts out all those established patterns of behaviour and world models (and thus also the people affected) that used to function in the prior emergence - here industrialisation - but no longer function now in reality-emulation where we for the first time not only emulate reality together but with and in cooperation with machines.
And the crisis sorts out everything that is not viable.
At the moment, the greatest responsibility lies with those who advise in and for crisis and emergence. Their first address is themselves to review and optimize their models and tools, to focus on crisis and emergence, and to consistently look for those who can work with them, support and advise them.
First of all, task forces must be formed, whereby those who feel called to do so must question their own vocation just as unconditionally as those with whom they work. Functionality alone is not enough, because the crisis demands bundling of forces and efficient handling of resources.
The focus should not be on the crisis, but on emergence, because it is it that shapes people and provides the tools and models that are urgently needed to overcome the crisis: Internet platforms, up-to-date systemic and cybernetic models of thought, communication and action, artificial emulations to test functionality and efficiency, new technologies for crisis management, transdisciplinary work.
The crisis sets the pace and the need for efficiency.
Emergence provides the means of coping.
Trying to manage the crisis only with the means of the last era will fail because of the people - no matter how many advocate for them, because where emergence has just begun, the majority will not be able to think within it.
The task forces must be un-conditionally free of ideology, which is why they need advisors who can isolate ideological approaches and help filter them out. Ideologies are not interested in the functionality of their vision concerning the demands of the crisis and the challenges of the changes coming with the emergent era, but only in the vision itself against other visions.
Dry thinkers, capable of multidimensional and deeply differentiating calculating and modeling, thinkers of great resilience and sincere affection for man and nature are more important in times of crisis than masses motivating visionaries. Certainly it is also important to motivate and work for the world's population to follow the suggested paths and to come up with more emergent and creative solutions, but this is only the second step.
If we try to do it before the first, we will inevitably have to deal with the problems we already know and that have been slowing us down for decades.
This is a question of concentration of constructive and intelligent forces and people.
They are the front line in the struggle for the survival of our civilizations.
Humanity can survive one way or the other - the quality of survival is what matters now.
And quality demands quality and care for quality.
